Tallinn, late night. My birthday. A good day. I like Tallinn. It feels good to behere again. I miss some old friends, especially Kaupo, that disappeared. Would like to talk to him now. Staying in Hotel Reval quite in the centre, new, and comfortable place. Its one o clock, should go to sleep, but this feeling still stays with me. Just in a moment i will. Winding down. Enjoying Phoenix Alphabetical. Making connections. A really good dinner still stays on. Joy.
Life is good.

For years i felt like i belonged to some other place. I was born and grew up in Göteborg, on the west coast of Sweden. My father is Swedish, my mother is Finnish. I grew up with my mother, and i always identified with her Finnish roots. Every summer we went to Finland, i learned some (not much) Finnish, and felt like i belonged there. Turning 20 i decided to move there. I went "home", or so i thought. I quickly discovered that they did not much care for me there. Late at night. Again. All the others are asleep. Worn out from a tough week. Me, I eat muesli and watch garbage TV. We just got two more channels in our DIGIbox package. Yihaa. More rubbish. Read yesterday that the water tower might actually become a café. That would be cool our island lacks a good café. Apart from Mutteri, which is (smoky but) nice, we don't have any cafés with personality here. Only generically branded ones, and they suck. If only i had a decent digicam i could prove it to you. As it is you have to take my word for it.
