Night time in Lauttasaari. Wind shaking the last leaves from the trees. Cosy feeling. Where are you and whate are you doing?
Tired, but still standing. I like Atomz Films new his-res format, some of the films are quite good.
Got two words for you. Community. When it is there, even virtually, it is really nice. It gives flavor to the discussion, forces you to hone your arguments, improve your reasoning, and follow up on your ideas. I like finding such a place at Studorg.
Swift strokes, some dashes, and off it goes. To bitspace. Where it is read, and immediately digested, commented, brooded over. Blogs have it wrong (when they are one sided). They simply miss out on the dialogue part. Perhaps creating less noice to usefulness ratio, but at a price.
Strange how these needs to jot it down all comes in droves. One two, and there I am again. Not long things like riverbend. Amazing. Still trying to fit these clothes on - I suppose. Not that long things scare me, they just don't seem to come naturally. some would say this indicates an empty life, devoid of things worth telling, but i have come to think the opposite is just as true. Sometimes you are so busy coping with the "small" things that there is not much time left for discussing it. It's true, i am less depressed now than ten years ago, much due to the fact that there is no time for it. The kids and making food, and working, and cleaning, and sometimes reading a little is just so much.
October came, with wet darkness. The hazedness of tired mornings. Staring at the screen even after work. The prospect of christmas impossibly far away. Through it all. Through and through.
Helsinki Love and Anarchy film festival started today, lots of images from the world pouring over us again. Yahoo!
Help, i cant get Linux to recognize my sound card! I wanna use SKYPE but no, it does not work. Also i would like setting up the web cam again, but where to find set-up instructions?
Cold weather came to Finland, rain and sun in a twirl. Soon we wont be out playing football with our team any more...
OK, trying to get used to Linux since my Windows 2000 crashed and died. Not too easy, i hope i am getting there, using SUSE 9.1 and KDE 3.21. It sure takes some getting used to.
I must say i liked Kill Bill vol 2. It was a pleasure to watch, hard to find any shortcomings really. Tarantino has style, I give him that.
Pattern regocnition is almost too sharp/smart for its own good, turning looks, clothes and witty descriptions into the main part of the storytelling, threathening to drown the plot. But in an enjoyable way.
Darkness descends. Shikeru Otori got his revenge, but it did not make things any easier for Takeo. Now to find book two in the saga.
Ah, autumn is here, with thundery storms and rainy drops. It took a week to get used to working again, but now things keep flowing on again. My cousin Petri and his wife Bianca got their first saon the other day. Congratulations!
Oh my, i thought i had seen it all. Not so. They fucked on stage to save the environment, and they do it online for the same reason. These guys fuck for forest ...
I am back. The birds are chirping outside my window, Sara Lidman has died some time ago, sweden is being drowned in rain, snow and ice in Germany. Ok, so others have a worse summer than we this year, but really, this much rain? Yeesh. And not even a proper net connection here on our little island. Yes, we have conducted our yearly migration to summer camp, where the sea is near, food is often grilled over open fire and we regrade to more primitive primates. Lovely. And the reading is good too. I have been laughing my head off reading Neal Stephenson, first off was Quicksilver, now Confusion is almost finished. Do yourself a favour, pick it up!
Here i am, where are you?
I went swimming yesterday evening for the first time in almost a year. I had a headache, i was tired, but i dragged myself there nonetheless. Iw as rewarded, it felt really good, and even though i am sore today i am really happy i went, i will go again. It seems to be a question of allowing oneself to actually go, and then flow with it.
Hm, maybe this is what i have been looking for. Anyone has any experience of using phpBB.com :: Creating Communities ?
time passes on, and it is quite nice. Some people are angry at blogging since it messes with their serarch results. Others call all bloggers moreon without anything to say. One reaction to that was a discussion on the nature of blogs, whether they should be seen as online commentary of daily events, or as diaries. I think they are a bit of both, and mostly written for the hell of it, not caring about the over priced preciousness of so called seriour discourse. It is real nice to let your hair down once in a while, and mostly for yourself, as most input makes little or no sence in this respect to outsiders. That's okay too, it is a part of that freedom. Silly, yes, but so what?
